Visitors and spectators are advised to turn off their satellite navigation systems and follow the appropriate signage.

From Airports

Manchester Airport: Allow 1 hour 30 minutes driving time.

From leaving Manchester Airport, follow signs for M65 towards M60/M67/M61/Manchester/Stockport/Sheffield/Leeds/Bolton. Keep right at the fork to stay on M56, follow signs for A5103/City Centre/M60 N & W/M62 W/M61. Continue onto Princess Pkwy/A5103. After 15 miles Keep left at the fork to stay on M61, follow signs for Preston. Merge onto the M6 after 10 miles and continue on M6 for 6 miles. At junction 32-Broughton Interchange, keep left and follow signs for M55 towards A6/Preston/Garstang/Blackpool. Continue onto A5230. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Progress Way/A5230. Turn left onto Common Edge Rd/B5261. After 2 miles turn right onto St Anne’s Rd E/B5233. Turn left onto Church Rd then turn right onto St Thomas’ Rd. finally, after 0.3 miles turn left onto Links Gate and the entrance is on the right.

During the championship follow AA sign posted routes for the quickest and easiest journey to Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Travelling by Rail

The closest rail station to Royal Lytham & St Annes is St Annes-on-the-sea. There is a direct train from Preston to St Annes-on-the-sea every 2 hours.

There is no official shuttle from St Annes-on-the-sea station to the event. The station is just a 12-minute walk to the golf course: upon leaving the station turn right onto St David’s Rd. after 400ft turn left onto St Thomas’ Road and then turn right onto Links Gate where the entrance to the course will be on the right.

Spectator Village & Facilities

Take a break from the links and spend some time at the Spectator Village. With a number of food and beverage options, dedicated kids play area, and giant TV screen, there is no need to miss any of the golf.                                    

There’s fun for all family at our Ricoh Golf Zone with activities including golf lessons, chipping challenge and putting green.

Free Parking

Please remember it is free to park at the Ricoh Women’s British Open. Please do not try and park offsite or in Lytham as parking restrictions will be enforced.

Disabled Parking will be available in Car Park 2.  Please follow the AA Road signs and have your blue badge on display for the parking assistants to see.

We have cycle storage available free of charge onsite and it will be located next to the parking office and main entrance, please follow AA signs to Free Public Car Park

1. Where can I park?
Free parking is available, as well as priority parking located closer to the action for £10 a day per car.

2. Is there disabled parking?
Yes. Disabled parking is available for all blue badge members. To obtain a pass please contact ricohwomensbritishopen@img.com

3. Can I bring a child’s buggy/pushchair
Yes you can. However please be aware of uneven terrain.

4. Can I bring my camera?
Cameras are permitted in the spectator village and surrounding areas but must not be used on the golf course to shoot ‘Live Play'.

5. Can I bring a bag / rucksack?
Bags and rucksacks are permitted at the Championship and there are no restrictions on size. Please note that all bags are subjected to a search on entry.

6. Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes you can but alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

7. Can I bring dogs to the course?
Dogs are not permitted on the course unless they are trained guide dogs.

8. Can I gain entry with an E-Ticket on my phone?
Yes E-Tickets presented on mobile phones will be accepted.

9. Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code in public areas. Clothing and suitable footwear for the weather conditions should be worn. No jeans or trainers in hospitality.

10. Can I hire a mobility scooter?
Mobility scooters will not be available to hire. However, you are welcome to bring your own, for more information please click here
